I would also add Titus 2:11-13

Titus 2:11-13 11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. 12 It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, 13 while we wait for the blessed hope– the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ,

Still trying to figure out how to actually make that work in real life though, for sure.

This work is far more vital and important than being at an ATA show!

Keep on it. Men desperately need to see, read, hear, and hopefully demonstrate this humility to their sons who need to know their dad is imperfect…and why he, like them, needs Jesus.

Thanks Zeke for the word picture of being on the couch and allowing your son to interact with you. I don’t know if we’ll ever fully know how important it is for us to authentically share life with our kids…the ups and the downs and the inbetween times. My boys love it when they feel like they are ‘helping’ me. Press on brother!

Well done!! This year has been difficult for me from all points of life and I have shared not in great detail with my boys but they understand some of those struggles. I find myself asking them for prayer for me and we resently were blessed with an answer to one of those prayers what a great way they can see God at work. Keep up the good work bro!!
